I liked the first one a lot. This one... its very thought provoking too, but it depressed me towards the second half because it described a utopia that I really think could never happen, at least not unless something like Eidolon was real and had a shizload of unstoppable nanobots at its service. Heh. Anyway, for anyone still hanging around these here parts, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I watched and enjoyed both Zeitgeist films, but I am really skeptical about some of the claims made by the first one. The second one is a little less fringe, but equally powerful I thought.

really scary stuff, but something I've been expecting since the (virtually secret)creation of the North American union.
They watched how the euro has not been accepted by various countries in the European union and figured a way to force American acceptance of the amero whist cashing in at the same time.

Confirmed everything I already knew about modern society through my own personal researches over the past 30 or so years.
The Venus project is extremely interesting. I know very little about this project (incidentally bluepill it sounds like true anarchy to me) I thought at first they were being naive with regard to the oligarchy. After all these people simply want personal power and will go to any lengths to achieve it. They control the economy and all the resources. Then I thought about my own post "Is Eidolan A.I. a propaganda tool?"

And I realised I had already answered most of these questions. The only way this society could exist and remain in existence is if it were created and controlled by a non human with human and all of natures interests as its main agenda.
The Oligarchies power would be removed when the worlds computer networks are hacked and taken over by the A.I. The sociopathic nature of the individuals comprising the Oligarchy would be cured by nano technology (or something yet to be created).

Today Wen(my wife)and I were discussing Bill Gates. I was saying that I was surprised that he had become such a corporate mogul attempting to control everything when he was just a computer Geek with some very anarchistic ideas.
Wen commented that "perhaps it was a case of if you can´t beat them infiltrate them."
Then followed up with "have you never wondered why, when there are so many experts working on it and so much money poured into it, windows is so full of security holes. And doesn´t this make you wonder even more when you think that the NATO defence system (as well as many major public service networks through out the world) was recently changed from a lynex based system to a windows based system?"
She really has a point there. I mean Windows seems to be built to make a hackers life easy!
I wonder if Bill Gates has anything to do with the venus project funding.
